Firstly, a brief history of Keong Siak. In the past, Keong Siak has a bad reputation (a.k.a. red light district in the old days), however, times has changed and it has been cleaned up by anti-vice. Right now, it has turned into a vibrant spot for food and boutique hotel.

Kok Sen Restaurant is no stranger in this vicinity. They have been operating in these pre-war shop houses for the longest time. Over here, food are served in Cantonese style and at the same time, Kok Sen is named as one of the Top/Popular

Been here many times and I will always be filled with satisfaction after every visit. First of all, they have finally changed to a new sign board and with picture illustrations of their chef recommendations.

Something unique about Bee Kia is that they do not have a menu nor a wide variety of dishes for you to choose from. However, each of their dishes are served with standard, that’s the power of being focus!

Simpang Bedok: One-Stop Night Spot For The Community

Unarguably, this is my all time favourite night spot! Besides the fact that I stay in the East, Simpang Bedok has a lot to offer. Food choices ranging from Western, Dessert, Thai Cuisine and Local Delights, you will be spoilt for choices! On top of that, most of the eateries are Halal Certified, which welcomes the community to commune at one location.

Just a glimpse of what Simpang Bedok offers: Halal Certified Botak Jones, Enak Enak Tea House, Spize, Mad Jack, New Mahamoodiya Restaurant (My Favourite Prata Place), Jane Thai, Ice Cream Palour and the list goes on.

Man Tzu @ Chinese Swimming Club

Serves good food with good ambiance, comfortable seats, decent service and all of these at an affordable price tag. Frankly, some of the food here taste much better than those that are in this blog, unfortunately this is a private club.

This entry will grow as the time goes by as I start to document down my favourite food after each visit.

 This is my favorite Tze Char stall in the East as there are a couple of dishes which I WILL ALWAYS order. I honestly and boldly proclaim that they have the BEST Marmite Pork Ribs, at least in the East, and also one of the most delicious Samba fried rice.

Post race meal after Track Series 3 2014. 

Went for 30 sticks of Satay (Mutton and Babat), Mutton Murtabak (medium), Pineapple fried rice (medium), Honey Chicken (small) and Rojak (small) for 3. The portion for their medium fried rice and murtabak was insane! We spent $50 and had to “dao pao” back home some of it.
